Table lamp
Posted 31 January 2026
Lorna in West Sussex asked us to make a table lamp to match one we made for her a couple of years ago. This one is turned in ash, about 12 inches tall. Although we have put the wiring kit through the stand, we have not put a plug on it - we are not electricians. Althugh it is a simple job to wire up, we recommend asking an electrician to wire it or check any wiring you might do as a customer. More about furniture items
Memorial trophy cup
Posted 25 January 2026
This is a large trophy with a very interesting back story. It was commissioned by Sue, in Suffolk to remember her Grandfather who was a teacher at the school in Guernsey when World War 2 broke out. These are her words explaining why:
The trophy will be presented in July to a Year 6 pupil who demonstrates the values that were so important for my grandfather. After my grandfather evacuated the school to Lymm area near Oldham- he then became ill and died at the age of 39! Leaving my father as a young boy of 11 without his dad. It was only when my father died a couple of years ago that we realised all the full details of the story. This also included all the names and addresses of where the evacuees were sent to! I visited the school last summer in a very moving visit to Guernsey. Thats when I met the headteacher and we offered to provide this cup.
