About Oldfern - two woodturners

Dan Fearnley has been woodturning for some years now, since 2018. He works from his workshop at home in Pickering, North Yorkshire. He provides tuition for members of Ryedale Woodturners at their training events, as well as demonstrating at club events. Woodturning is his full-time job.

Dan now produces most of the oldfern orders requested.

What we do

Together we produce a variety of bespoke handmade wooden items ranging from household goods and ornaments to trophies, restoration work, clocks and artistic pieces.
We aim for quality rather than quantity, though we are happy to take on batch work and repeat orders.

Ordering is by email request, given that we mainly produce bespoke items to order. We do have some standard items in stock, such as those on the Shop page. We will provide a quote and time scale by return email. We enjoy working with customers, usually via email, to realise a design idea.
